"Creating the perfect digital/email marketing program for your organization." if so, you should have a list of things you would like to do for your email marketing program – or for your marketing program in general. Even better if you have collaborated with your internal team; then you should have a very long list of ideas! If you haven't read my last column, it's not too late. Do a quick read now, then jot down a few things to start your list (you can go back and add to it later). As I mentioned, I'm going through this process with a client. Here are some representative items from the items on their list:integrate systems so we can use data from past purchases to target future email marketing campaignsidentify And migrate to an email service provider (esp) better suited to our needs analyze the online checkout process and look for things to company mailing list test to optimize conversionsdevelop and implement “single sign-on” for customers across all of our websites research and write one to three alternative attribution models to better identify the source(s) of sales create and maintain a master calendar of all marketing initiatives (email, social, sem, etc.)review and update the content of our triggered email program; make sure all links are workingonce you have your list, it's time to prioritize You'll need lots of sticky notes, preferably two different colors (say we're using blue and orange). You will also need a pen or pencil. And a big blank wall or whiteboard. If you worked with your internal team to create a master list, bring them together and do this exercise as a group. Otherwise, it works just as well solo. Let's start with the blue sticky notes. Write each item on your wish list on a blue post-it note. There should be enough detail so that you can easily understand what it's about, but you don't need a full description. Once you're done, do the same with the orange post-its - each idea has its own orange post-it as well as its own blue post-it. They should mirror each other. Now is the time to prioritize.
